Seating of Guests

Music at the wedding begins with the Seating of the Guests selections. The music starts approximately fifteen minutes before the service while guests are being seated. Brides do not usually get the opportunity to hear these selection as they are usually in transit to the church at this time.  Six to eight musical selections are played during this time. The  musical selections played, unless otherwise noted, are:

1. Canon in D by Pachelbel
2. Air on the G String by Johann Sebastian Bach
3. Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring by J. S. Bach
4. Sheep May Safely Graze by J. S. Bach
5. Water Music Selection by George F. Handel
6. Air on the G String by J. S. Bach
7. Thanks be to Thee by G. F. Handel
8. Prayer of St. Francis
9. The Lord Bless and Keep You by


Click on any of the above highlighted selections to hear a short sound clip of them. All of these pieces are played at every wedding unless you indicate an alternate selection on your Wedding Music Selection Form. If your alternate selection is an unfamiliar one, you should  supply a copy of your song arranged for organ well in advance of the date of the wedding to the organist.
